In addition to donations, Breath & Body Alive is supported by sales of meticulously designed products that align with our goals for community wellness and recovery. Our first collection, "Living for Moon Days," acknowledges the significance of rest particularly as practiced in Ashtanga yoga by observing moon days.

Both full and new moon days are observed as days of rest in the Ashtanga yoga tradition. Like all beings of a watery nature (human beings are about 70% water), we humans are affected by the moon's phases. Because both the sun and moon exert a gravitational pull on the earth, their relative positions create different energetic experiences that are comparable to the breath and other natural cycles. Observing moon days as days of rest is one way to acknowledge the rhythms of nature so we can live in greater alignment with it. As I grew in my Ashtanga practice, I realized that while some might say they were living for the weekends, I was living for moon days :)
